MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We had a great Christmas! I hope Santa was good to you all. I will have pictures up soon, but you will have to wait because my laptop is broken and being fixed. (I am bumming computer time from my parents.)

Anna was a blast and really got into opening presents this year. She loved everything and was so dramatic. I will update soon with more and pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!!!!

It almost does not feel like Thanksgiving today, because this year has flown by. The weather is warm and humid, not the cool Thanksgiving weather I wish we would have. But, I am so thankful for so many things. Here are just few to jot down today:

Anna & Brock- Her first "boyfriend". Her dad would beg to differ, but we think it is so cute. He made sure she got where she needed to go and got candy. How sweet!!!

Our brick layers are awesome. We did soldier courses along the top of the house and ribbon courses around the windows and doors.

Master bathroom- The new thing in tubs is the "air tub". Can't wait to try it. Much better than the old jet styles that you can never keep clean. It works like the jet tub, except it has approx 100 tiny holes around the bottom of the tub that blows air for bubbles, but also once all the water has drained it blows water to clean the holes and dry the tub. It also has a heated back rest. I don't know if I will ever get out...

Front... We are roofing and bricking this week... Hopefully no rain.

FINALLY A POST

OK LISA, THIS IS FOR YOU. WE WENT BACK TO SCHOOL LAST WEEK AND IT WAS LIKE STARTING SCHOOL ON THE FIRST DAY AGAIN. IT IS VERY DIFFERENT AND THE SCHOOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION 24/7. WE ARE GETTING NEW DESKS, CABINETS, CEILINGS, FLOORS, LOCKERS, ETC EVERYDAY. WE HAVE TWO SCHOOLS COMBINED IN ONE SCHOOL AND TWO TEACHERS IN EACH CLASSROOM. ONCE WE GET BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS AND THINGS GET BACK TO NORMAL, IT WILL BE A GREAT LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

PLUS, I BOUGHT A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA THAT I AM LEARNING TO USE. IT IS THE CANON REBEL AND I LOVE IT. EXCEPT, I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE PICTURES BEING DOWNLOADED AND SAVED TO MY COMPUTER. IT IS NOT THE CAMERA, IT IS ME. I JUST DON'T WANT TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONAL MANUAL, BUT I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO. (THAT IS THE RED COMING OUT IN ME!!!) ONCE I GET IT, I WILL UPLOAD PICTURES FROM ANNA'S 2ND BIRTHDAY AND OUR NEW HOUSE.

PRAYER REQUESTS- NEAL, SHANNON & HEATHER'S MOM

I HAVE A FEW PRAYER REQUESTS I ASK YOU TO PRAY FOR.

NEAL- A DEAR FRIEND OF OURS, HAS BEEN FEELING VERY BADLY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND WENT TO THE DOCTOR. HE HAS HAD A BRAIN MRI AND SPINAL TAP, PRELIMINARY RESULTS SHOW MS. THEY ARE ALSO THINKING HE MAY HAVE TRANSVERSE MYELITIS. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM AND HIS RECOVERY.

SHANNON- (NEAL'S WIFE) SHE HAS BEEN HAVING LOWER BACK PAIN FOR MONTHS AND WENT TO THE DOCTOR TO FIND OUT SHE NEEDS SURGERY TO MAKE THINGS BETTER. SHE WILL BE IN SURGERY TOMORROW, PLEASE PRAY FOR THE DOCTORS AND HER SPEEDY RECOVERY. THEY HAVE TWO YOUNG BOYS WHO ALSO NEED PRAYERS.

HEATHER'S MOM- ANOTHER DEAR FRIEND OF OUR FAMILY IS ASKING FOR PRAYERS FOR HER MOM. SHE HAD CANCER AND WENT INTO REMISSION. THIS PAST WEEK I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM HEATHER THAT HER MOM'S CANCER HAS COME BACK. PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS IS THE LAST OF THE CANCER AND SHE WILL BE ON HER WAY TO A FULL RECOVERY.
