We are leaving. It looks like a direct hit for our area. This is very hard to deal with, since our families and friends lost all the had (or much of it) 3 years ago. It really brings back horrible memories for everyone. We heading up to our camp for a couple of days to see what Gustav has in store and then north to Fort Worth. I hope we come back to something. Talk to you all when we get back.

SCHOOL, SCHOOL, SCHOOL
Into our second week and all is going well. I am still afloat, eventhough some days I feel like I am drowning. I know it will all come together eventually, but I want it now. I guess that is the red coming out in me. The kids are great and I am really enjoying being in a small school setting. I never thought I would say that, but you just don't know until you are there. I think Anna may start HeadStart in Hackberry next year and continue to come with me to school as long as I am there. We will wait and see...
LET THE BUILDING BEGIN
We finally have word we can start building. David has requested all of our permits and waiting on the final paperwork. I am so excited to start building. Hopefully the rain will stop and no hurricanes or tropical storms come our way.

FINALLY, A NEW POST
WE ARE STILL AROUND! JUST BUSIER THAN EVER. I HAVE ACCEPTED A NEW TEACHING POSITION FOR APE & 6TH & 7TH GRADE READING, SO I HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY GETTING PREPARED FOR MY STUDENTS NEXT WEEK. I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO COLLEGE TO WORK ON MY MASTER'S THIS SEMESTER, SO IT WILL BE A LITTLE CRAZY, BUT WORTH IT.
WE ARE ALSO WAITING TO START BUILDING ON OUR HOUSE. HOPEFULLY WE WILL START IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS. I AM SO READY AND ALSO EXCITED ABOUT THE BUILDING PROCESS. THE ONLY THING, I AM HAVING A HARD TIME PICKING OUT THE BRICK????? ANY SUGGESTIONS????
I HAVE ALSO ACCEPTED A PART TIME POSITION AT THE BANK (MY LAST EMPLOYMENT) TO STAY ABOARD AS THE LIFE INSURANCE SPECIALIST. THIS WILL WORK BECAUSE WE ONLY GO TO SCHOOL 4 DAYS A WEEK AND ON FRIDAYS OR SATURDAYS I CAN WORK BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
ANNA IS DOING GREAT! WE ARE PLANNING HER SECOND BIRTHDAY. CAN YOU BELIEVE???? SHE IS TALKING UP A STORM AND I HAVE DECIDED THAT IF SHE GETS IN TROUBLE AS SHE GETS OLDER, IT WILL BE BECAUSE OF HER MOUTH. (I GUESS SHE GETS IT HONESTLY) HERE ARE SOME OF HER FAVORITE SAYINGS:
